Students worked with Rhea Vedro, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s director of community engagement. Students learned about formal and contextual art analysis. and then analyzed a piece of art within the museum or an aspect of the museum’s architecture. Insights from this art analysis fueled the design of a fashion wearable as a way of sharing the art and architecture with the community outside of the museum’s four walls. This studio culminated in a fashion show in Calderwood Hall at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
